We don’t just create films though: we power impact campaigns that drive real-world change.

Shine Global is seeking a skilled, entrepreneurial Co-CEO, Executive Director to help achieve its vision. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and working closely with the Co-CEO, Creative Director, who oversees creative deliverables, the Co-CEO, Executive Director will help Shine Global achieve a new level of reach and impact at a pivotal moment. Overseeing day-to-day operations, including fundraising, operations finance, strategic partnerships, and marketing, this leader will be driven, highly collaborative, and excellent at developing and managing important relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Shine Global Strategic Plan, working with the Co-CEO, Creative Director as needed, and keeping staff, partners and board focused on goals, adapting as necessary and communicating progress clearly
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including personnel management, HR, financial management, and program tracking and reporting 
  • Lead fundraising efforts including overseeing development team and cultivating and maintaining funder relations 
  • Lead engagement of top-tier strategic partners from the children’s support and advocacy space, distribution, and media, working with Co-CEO, Creative Director and Board as needed
  • Manage communications and marketing strategies and implementation including publicity/media relations, website, social media, special events.  
  • Partner with Co-CEO, Creative Director on design and execution of impact campaigns associated with each major content release
  • Represent Shine Global in public forums
  • Be current on children’s advocacy and narrative trends and respond to new and relevant opportunities 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience 
  • Proven track record of fundraising
  • Capacity to collaborate and partner in achieving strategic goals of the organization
  • Proven track record for leading a team and providing oversight of and growth opportunities for staff 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment 
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Experience working with diverse communities in multicultural environments
  • Flexible with working hours to meet varying schedules of programs
  • Knowledge of, or work experience in, storytelling and/or children’s advocacy spaces a plus
  • Strong business management skills including staff supervision, operations, and finance 
  • Social enterprise and entrepreneurial experience a plus 
  • Computer proficiency MAC & PC, MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google platforms, Airtable and/or other comparable database platforms
  • High degree of ethics and integrity 
  • Stellar commitment to excellence

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • $125,000 annual salary
  • Eligible for participation in HRA health benefits program
