So much happened in 2018 – it was hard to pick our top 5!
- Liyana had an amazing year garnering rave reviews and a lot of new fans – and work is starting on the educational components and engagement partners.
- Tre Maison Dasan made its festival debut and in addition to the screenings and awards, the team has been building partnerships and hosting discussions with key stakeholders about the impact of parental incarceration on kids.
- Shine’s first digital series “The Election Effect” premiered on Facebook to reach 1.6 million people and is now available for teachers and educators along with a free discussion guide.
- Our upcoming documentary Virtually Free focusing on juvenile justice and a unique program that attempts to bridge the divide between teens and police wrapped principal photography and entered the edit room.
- And our 4th Gala in NYC was a huge success – and a lot of fun!
